World Book Day - Author Visit

World Book Day - Author Visit

Dear Parents/Carers

I have the very pleasant job of being the librarian and supporting your child to read the books from the library, both fiction and non-fiction for all ages.   We do not have the capacity to replace books that are not returned.  I would very much appreciate it if you could please remind your children about returning their library books.  Currently, I have 288 books that are overdue.

On the 14th March I have a worldwide author, called Ian Billings, coming in to talk to our Year 7 students, in honour of World Book Day.  He is a very funny speaker and will be performing in the Telford Pantomime at the Place Oakengates, from the 29th to 30th March.  He has written books for children, as well as writing for television, including the “Chuckle Brothers”.  It should be a very entertaining hour for all.  Our students will have the opportunity to buy his books, if they wish and of course, he will be signing them.  I am attaching an order form if you wish to see prices and pre-order.

Thank you for your support.

Yours faithfully

Mrs J Jones
