Charlton School

Charlton welcome’s back former students to share their journey.

On Monday 2nd July, we held out Year 10 ‘A Day for your Future Event’ which aimed to bring together a year’s work of support related to Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) for the year group, where consideration is given to Post 16 pathways.  The day involved individual interviews, team challenges, presentations from a number of key partners and opportunity to listen and ask questions from a panel of professionals who came to share their story.

We were delighted to welcome back from the Class of 2013 Jake Edwards (who was recently awarded a First class full honours degree from the board for Bachelor of law) and Sam Watson (just completed his third year at Cambridge achieving a BA in Chemical Engineering) who were involved in interviews and presentations.   It was great to hear from both about their fantastic journey following their time at Charlton.  A huge thanks to them and all of the other visitors who supported the day, over 40 in total.

In preparation for work planned for September involving developing information regarding the ‘Alumni of Charlton’, please find Sam’s profile which will also be available on the school website.  Sam is looking for sponsorship for the project he has outlined via the ‘just giving link’ shown and would be grateful for any support which could be given.

We hope to use Jake as the second former student who we will provide information on, and will be inviting further inputs for the Alumni of Charlton in the new academic year.
