Temporary Changes to Uniform Tuesday 19th July

Please may I thank the parents who followed our request for students to attend school in uniform today.

18th July 2022

Dear parent / carer,

Please may I thank the parents who followed our request for students to attend school in uniform today.  We maintain the wearing of uniform offers students greater protection against the sun on their journey to and from school, and during social times in school compared to their PE kit.

We are aware that overnight temperatures are not expected to fall below 20 degrees and the starting temperature for school tomorrow will be much higher than today.  For this reason we are giving parents the option to continue to send their child in shirt and trousers/skirts or in their PE kit.  Please ensure, if you are allowing students to wear PE kit, that they apply sun-cream prior to attending school.

Please remember that students participating in sports day and interhouse sports on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, will be wearing PE kit on those days as well.  Students not participating in sports day or interhouse activities should return to wearing trousers/skirts and shirts from Wednesday.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
