New Emotional Health and Wellbeing service - Heal Hub

As we come to the end of another half term, I wanted to send you an update with some resources and a new service that the School Nursing team have made us aware of.

As we come to the end of another half term, I wanted to send you an update with some resources and a new service that the School Nursing team have made us aware of.

With this letter I am sending out a range of resources with information about anxiety, feeling overwhelmed and tips that you can use to support your son/daughter during this difficult time. These include links to websites, and helpful information where you can access support.

The new Emotional Health and Wellbeing service, Heal Hub: Road to Recovery, is for 14-25’s based in the Midlands who are in need of mental health support. Young people can refer themselves to this and receive 6 free online sessions with a therapist of their choice. Heal Hub's list of approved therapists include Arts-based therapies for those who do not like to talk about their emotions but love creativity. To find out more please visit www.healhub.org.uk

As well as this, I have set a quick check in question on Doddle for all students to complete – this is something that we sent out in the Autumn term and it gives us an idea of which students may need additional support at the moment. I would like as many students to complete this as possible, please. It is only one question so will be very quick for students to do.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support that you are giving your children with their emotional health and wellbeing at home. For some it has been a very difficult half term and although we are doing all we can to support students if we know that they are struggling, it is the ongoing guidance and conversations that you are having at home that really make the difference.
