Harvest Festival 2021

On Thursday the 14th of October, we will be holding our annual Harvest Festival assembly at Charlton School. This year the assembly will be virtual and watched by students in their form rooms via the interactive screens. We are asking students to support the event by donating food or toiletries, which will be given to the charity, Telford Crisis Support.

Telford Crisis Support is a food bank which has operated within Telford and Wrekin for 7 years. They are a charity that provides for families in need of support, with emergency food and toiletries. A crisis can happen to anyone at any time and the charity supports people who, through no fault of their own, need help. Please see the following link for more information about Telford Crisis Support: http://telfordcrisissupport.org.uk.

Tinned produce, toiletries and packet goods are an ideal donation. Please avoid any fresh foods or opened goods. Any items should be dropped into the small meeting room in the reception area or placed on the tables in the technology open area by students. Students will receive house points for any donations given to support the charity.

Our harvest assembly is focused around supporting those in our local community. We recognise that financial circumstances of our own families are changing all the time, particularly because of the impact of COVID 19. If you, or someone you know needs support, please contact your child’s pastoral manager who can help with:

At this challenging time, it has never been more important to look after each other and offer support where we can. I hope you will join us by donating items to the Telford food bank for our Harvest Festival 2021.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Yours faithfully

A Vickers
