Critical Worker & Vulnerable Children Arrangements

Thank you for your emails and your request for your child to attend school from 5th January, as you are either a critical worker or they fall into one of the vulnerable categories.

4th January 2021

Dear Parent/Carer,

Thank you for your emails and your request for your child to attend school from 5th January, as you are either a critical worker or they fall into one of the vulnerable categories.

Students should attend at the normal time in full school uniform (not PE kit) and follow their usual timetable. It maybe they are with staff who are not their usual teachers, depending on the final numbers of students who are attending school. There will be a mixture of teaching and completion of work set online.

It has been confirmed that the full school transport programme will be in operation throughout the phased full-time return to school for all students who access this service.

Breaks and lunch will remain staggered from other year groups, as we still need to have our year group bubbles maintained. Food will be available from the canteen at both break and lunch, but there will be a limited menu due to the reduction of the number of students in school.

The Government have confirmed that PE lessons cannot take place until 18th January. When students have PE on their timetables, they will be taken to a class to complete work set online. Students should not attend school in PE kit again until after 18th January.

As you will be aware the Government are setting out a requirement to test all staff and students, where consent from home is provided. We will inform you of the procedures for this when we have taken part in the webinars from the DfE that will take place in the coming days.

If for some reason your child is not going to attend school following the arrangements you have asked for, please inform our school attendance team through our main reception number.

Yours faithfully

Mr A McNaughton

Principal
