Young Fashion Designer UK Award

Congratulations Tilly for receiving 'Highly Commended' for the 2021 Young Fashion Designer UK Award

Established in 2010 Young Fashion Designer UK is an exciting national competition which focuses on enhancing the talent of students to showcase and promote the exceptional work achieved at GCSE, A-Level and by students aged 11-14 studying textiles design, product design and fashion throughout the United Kingdom. The competition is run by centers in the South and Midlands who are each committed to providing a platform for young fashion designers.

The Young Fashion Designer UK (YFD UK) competition was established in 2010 by the former Head of Textiles, Karen Wintle, at Kent College Pembury. The need was recognised for GCSE, BTEC and A Level Fashion & Textiles students to have their work recognised and judged by industry professionals in an annual national competition.

Excellence

YFD UK believes that excellence should be in everything we do. Our judges and guest speakers are carefully selected to bring a wide range of industry experience combined with knowledge and a love for the fashion and textiles industries.
