Charlton School

World Mental Health Day

As you may know, it is World Mental Health Day on 10th October and this is something that we have always supported at Charlton, as part of the #helloyellow campaign through Young Minds.

I hope that everyone is well and getting back into the routine of school life?

As you may know, it is World Mental Health Day on 10th October and this is something that we have always supported at Charlton, as part of the #helloyellow campaign through Young Minds.

We will be supporting this on Thursday 7th October, and we are asking that all students come into school wearing a yellow accessory in addition to their full school uniform, to support with this. We will be collecting donations for the charity through ParentPay.

In addition to this, we will also be selling yellow ribbons in school and students will be taking part in House and form activities to raise awareness of mental health in young people and how to cope with this. I will also be setting a short questionnaire on Doddle to check how students are doing since their return to school – this will take about 1 minute to complete, so please encourage your son/ daughter to do this as it gives us a valuable insight into which students may need additional support.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Miss A Wills
