Charlton School

End of Term Update

As we come to the end of a very challenging half term, for all families and school staff, I would like to thank everyone for your support and understanding regarding the difficult decisions that have had to be made, including the need at times for our students to self-isolate.

Dear Parents/Carers

As we come to the end of a very challenging half term, for all families and school staff, I would like to thank everyone for your support and understanding regarding the difficult decisions that have had to be made, including the need at times for our students to self-isolate.

I would like to make you aware of some of the changes that will be taking place after half term.

Mrs Kirkman, our SENCO, will be leaving Charlton, as she is moving to be closer to her family.  Mrs Kirkman has been an excellent member of staff, whom we will miss greatly, as will many of our students.  I am sure many of you will join with me to wish her all the very best.  After half term, if you have any SEN queries, please would you direct them to Mrs Swan, via email, to send@charlton.uk.com, until our newly appointed SENCO arrives in January 2021.

We also wish Mr Antliff, Technology Teacher, the very best for his extended paternity leave and he will be returning to school at Easter, next year.

We have been holding interviews this week, in our History Department, and we would like to congratulate Mrs Groves on her appointment as Head of History. Many of you will already know Mrs Groves, as your children may be in her History classes.

Thank you for all your words of support and encouragement through these months and we hope everyone will have time to spend within their family unit, during our half-term break.

Keep safe and kind regards

Mr A McNaughton

Principal
