End of Summer Term Letter from Principal

As we approach the holidays, I am writing to you with information about our return in September, events next week and about some useful information for families regarding support that is available over the summer.

Dear Parents/Carers,

As we approach the holidays, I am writing to you with information about our return in September, events next week and about some useful information for families regarding support that is available over the summer.

September 2022 Return to School

The Learning Community Trust have agreed for all their secondary schools to have a staggered start in September.  Year groups will return on the following days:

Tuesday 6th September – Years 7 and 11 only

Wednesday 7th September – All year groups

End of term arrangements

Students break up on Thursday 21st July, at the normal time of 3.00pm.  School buses will run as usual.  With the forecast for the hot weather to continue into next week, we have made the decision that students will not be required to wear their ties or blazers for the remainder of the term.

On Tuesday we will be holding our sports day.  For any student participating in an event, they can come to school in their PE kit for the day.  Please ensure they have applied sun-cream prior to school and have a water bottle with them.  They may also want to consider wearing a hat whilst outside.

Thursday sees a return of our much-loved end of year inter-house sports competitions.  Again, any student representing their form in an activity can come to school in their PE kit for the day.  If the weather remains hot, please apply sun-cream in the morning and ensure your child has a water bottle.  All other students should remain in normal uniform if not participating on either Tuesday or Thursday.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours faithfully

Mr A McNaughton
