Darwin

 

Darwin House is named after the legendary Charles Darwin. Charles Darwin was a famous naturalist and a biologist who realised and demonstrated that all life had evolved over time from a common ancestor. This is called the "Theory of Evolution" and is on of the most widely known and widely accepted scientific theories.

Darwin House is named after him for many reasons and the current house leaders explain it best: "Charles Darwin represents so many qualities that we aspire to in Darwin. He was adventurous; he went around the world to collect evidence for his "Theory of Evolution". He was not afraid to try something new and different; Nothing as radical had ever been suggested before. And most importantly he persevered and didn't give up even through all the criticism."
